Tocaya again
Another day, another Tocaya Organica. This location of the growing upscale organic Mexican food chain lands at the Beverly Center with a bang, taking up some 4,000 square feet of ground floor retail space next to names like Cal Mare, Yardbird, and Farmhouse. The sunny space keeps the same muted tones and brass detailing as the others across the South Bay, West Hollywood, and Sunset Boulevard, while adding a patio outside and lounge seating inside. The first day of service is today, with daily hours moving forward from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
More blue
Blue Bottle has opened its next LA-area location, this time in Pasadena. The sparse shop lands at 18 S. Fair Oaks Avenue, keeping hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during their open community day on Saturday. Hey, free coffee.
Superfine life
Here’s a heck of a deal: Get two slices of Superfine pizza, plus a drink, for just $7 any day during lunch. The offer is running now, but only from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Croissant game changers
Milk Bar is doing its annual run of Thanksgiving-flavored croissants from their new shop on Melrose. Expect a rye seed croissant with turkey, gravy, and cranberry sauce inside, available now through the end of November.
Tiki meals
Love the tiki lifestyle? Check out the new brunch at Severance on Melrose, where diners can snag big, fun drinks, as well as luau-style roast pig and more basic options like crab toast.
Bigger brunch
Tesse is also launching brunch tomorrow. The West Hollywood dinnertime option pushes into daytime weekend hours (11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday) with a menu that includes things like fig toast, duck fat fries, and a $48 plate of caviar and hamachi. There will also be boozy drinks, of course.
