Scottsdale League for the Arts hosts The Brunch Club (pictured) on Saturday, Dec. 1. Local chefs and bartenders will showcase a delicious menu that revolves around brunch during the 21-and-older event at Mountain Shadows. Tickets will provide guests with unlimited brunch bites and a drink card for four cocktails. VIP guests will have early access from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for $75, and general admission will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $55. All net proceeds raised will support the nonprofit Scottsdale League for the Arts in its effort to promote arts and arts education organizations in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Macayo’s Mexican Restaurants around the Valley are offering traditional red beef and green corn tamales in or out of the husk with red enchilada, fire-roasted tomatillo or Baja sauce for holiday feasting and festivities. All season long, guests can pick up tamales by the dozen, full-size ($59.99) or mini tamales ($17.99) in any of the Macayo’s locations. Large orders of $150 or more require advance notice of at least 24 hours by calling any one of Macayo’s locations.
Scottsdale’s BLK Live has unveiled a newly revamped Social Hour Menu, taking place not once, but twice, from 4 to 6 p.m. and again from 10 p.m. to close, every Thursday through Sunday. Social Hour includes reduced pricing on menu highlights like Kobe meatballs, bourbon-glazed seared pork belly and crunchy coconut shrimp with mango chutney, along with wallet-friendly $4 domestic draughts, well drinks and house wine, $5 imported and craft beers and discounted specialty cocktails.
Lady La of 104.7 KISS FM has teamed up with Sauce Pizza and Wine to create a unique ‘za for a wonderful cause–and it’s your last chance to check it out. “La’s Super-Secret Pepperoni Pizza” is made with pink sauce and topped with Sauce’s signature three-cheese blend, pepperoni, caramelized onions, fresh garlic and basil, and available through Nov. 30. Fifty percent of the proceeds from each pizza sold will be donated to Surfing With Nixon, a local nonprofit organization that gives kids in Arizona with autism a chance to surf as a form of water therapy.

Graduate Tempe has transformed its two dining concepts for both guests of the hotel and the public to enjoy. The Normal restaurant will feature a menu full of elevated takes on the classics working with local farmers and bakers (think Blue Sky Organic Farms and Noble Bread), while The Normal Bar will feature Chihuahua-style tacos and quesadillas–with handmade tortillas from Roland’s Café Market Bar–alongside local craft brews.
Meatballz Inc. is now open in Scottsdale, located at Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard. The fresh opening brings a fun dining experience to the area while offering variety of fresh menu items, craft beer and cocktails and customer-friendly amenities. A brand new food festival is coming to Downtown Phoenix on Dec. 1.: Kung Food Fest. The Asian street food festival will feature 20 local restaurants and food trucks as guests will enjoy wide variety of delicious Asian cuisine, cooking demos, entertainment and games from 12 to 6 p.m. at Heritage Square. Admission to Kung Food is $10 online and $15 at the gate, kids 12 and under will be admitted for free. A portion of the proceeds from Kung Food Fest will benefit the Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders (ACEL).
