It's time to press pause and give thanks, yes, even for this crazy beautiful world. If you want to volunteer and give back on Thanksgiving, check out Gobble Gobble Give or consider running in a race to benefit the Midnight Mission. Gabba Gallery — 3126 Beverly Blvd., Rampart
The gallery's latest art show is on view, featuring works by more than 100 local and international artists. Curated by Jason Ostro and Elena Jacobson, artists include CANTSTOPGOODBOY, Rene Gagnon, Anyes Galleani, Val Kilmer, Leah Knecht, Andy Knights, Toxicómano Callejero and TrustyScribe, among others. Works are cash and carry (meaning you take it home when you buy it) and, for the first time, the gallery will sell the show's art online. A fresh inventory of art will be available on gabbagallery.com at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19.

Mezcal Mondays
Toca Madera — 8450 W. Third St., Beverly Grove
The restaurant launches a rotating mezcal cocktail menu, along with reimagined traditional Mexican tapas selections. Through the end of the month, guests 21+ can sip on cocktails like the the Siempre, made with El Silencio's Espadin, cucumber, gran classico bitter, lemon and egg white. A DJ and guitarist will perform live every Monday, too.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand — Bold and Brave

The Skirball and Writers Bloc present the Senator from New York, who's also a leading voice for women's rights. Gillibrand will also discuss her new book, Bold and Brave: Ten Heroes Who Won Women the Right to Vote, with actress Amanda de Cadenet (founder and CEO of Girlgaze).

This holiday pop-up museum features immersive and interactive experiences — including lots of selfie and "eflie" stations. Wander through the Fa La Forest, a fluorescent display with trees suspended from the air; visit Jingle Bell Toys, a real life working toy factory; chat with Santa on his poinsettia throne; or hop on his flower-adorned sled with FA LA LAND vanity plates. If you think the pop-up has a SoCal vibe, then maybe that's the influence of co-creator Amanda Brown, author of Legally Blonde. As if!

Gobble Gobble Give

For the past 20 years, a group of friends gets together to bring a dish of traditional holiday food, gently used clothes and shoes, toiletries or a blanket or two. They pack meals in take-out containers and get back into their cars, hop on their bikes or set out walking to deliver these goods to people who could use a hot meal and some company. Volunteers and donations are still needed.

Enjoy a petting zoo, face painting, live music, a DIY snow globe station and a bottomless coffee station while you try the third wave coffee shop's spin on high-end holiday drinks. They include a peppermint mocha as well as toffee nut, eggnog, gingerbread and, of course, pumpkin spice lattes. All proceeds from this family-centric event go to the Downtown Women's Center.
